My new valued Christian friend Amy is posted a new blog titled Jesus Name is Strange!
The article is in persian and described 15 reasons that why he claimed that Jesus Name is strange.
I have posted a long comment there and claimed as a Muslim point of view that, I totally confirm that Jesus Name was really Strange and I also wondered about it. But some reasonings that provided is not accepted by Quran.
Unfortunatly the discussion is in persian but I strongly invite everyone that can read persian to join our discussion here.
I always welcome any interreligious discussions.

سلام برادر عزیزم سپهر…
بنده وبلاگ ایمی را خوانده بودم ولی کامنت شما را الان مطالعه کردم.
با اجازه شما می خواستم مواردی را به آنچه که توسط خانم ایمی و شما طرح شده اضافه کنم و منظورم از طرح این موارد انتقاد از صحبت های شما يا ایمی نیست و فقط می خواستم جنبه های دیگری هم از چنین بحثی مورد توجه قرار بگیرد.
بنده هم به استناد آيات الهی در قرآن تفاوتهایی را نه تنها بین اسلام و مسیحیت که بین بسیاری از ادیان دیگر با هم می بینم. برخی از آنها شاید به جا باشند ولی برخی هم نتیجه سوء برداشت از ادیان الهی است. مثلا بارها شنیده ام از مسلمانانی که عزیزان زرتشتی را آتش پرست قلمداد می کنند و اين در حالی است که پیامبر اسلام به نقل از تاريخ به زرتشتیانی که در قلمرو اسلام زندگی می کردند اجازه داد که دین خود را پرستش کنند و هرگز آنهارا مجبور به اسلام آوردن نکرد. چنانچه اگر آتش پرست بودند فرقی با بت پرست نداشتند و پیامبر آنها را نيز به اسلام دعوت می کرد.
درباره مسیحیت خداوند همانطور که به چند آيه اشاره کردید در قرآن آنهایی را که برای خداوند فرزند یا شریکی فرض می کنند مورد سرزنش قرار می دهد.
ولی در صحبت هایی که با برخی از عزیزان مسیحی داشتم اینطور فهمیدم که رابطه پدر و پسری که مسیحیان بین خداوند و عیسی ع قائل هستند یک رابطه روحانی است. ماهیت این پدر و پسری هنوز بر من کاملا مشخص نیست ولی مثلا آنگونه که در نيايش های اسلامی امام حسین ع را خون خدا و فرزند خون خدا می خوانیم ، خود می دانیم که امام حسین ع واقعا خون خداوند نبوده .
در اینجا چند مورد پیش می آيد:
آنطور که بنده متوجه شدم ، مسیحیان هم مانند مسلمانان دارای فرقه های مختلف هستند. همانطور که در اسلام فرقه هایی هستند که در ابراز علاقه به امام علی ع زیاده روی می کنند فرقه هایی شاید در ادیان دیگر و مسیحیت نیز باشند که در ابراز علاقه به پیامبران و پیشوایان خود زیاده روی می کنند ولی این را نمی شود به همه تعمیم داد
مورد دیگری که بنده به آن علاقه مند شده ام این است که اگر می خواهیم با دوستان مسیحی به یک نتیجه معقول برسیم چند چیز را باید مورد توجه قرار داد:
1-اگر مسلمانان برای اثبات ادعایشان تنها به قرآن بسنده کنند شايد کافی نباشد. چرا که همانطور که قرآن برای ما عزِيز است ، کتاب مقدس نیز برای مسیحیان عزیز است و اگر ما به آيات قرآن استناد کنيم ، مسیحیان نيز حق دارند که به کتاب مقدس استناد کنند.
خوب است که در آيات هر دو کتاب استناد شود و از آن نه برای اثبات حقانیت خود که برای يافتن حقیقت استفاده شود.
2- آنچه که در اين ميان می بايست به طور جدی مورد توجه واقع شود تحقيق در تاريخ است که خود بنده اذعان می کنم تا کنون در اين مورد اطلاعات کافی نه تنها درباره تاريخ مسیحیت و ادیان ديگر که درباره تاريخ اسلام نيز نداشته ام.
3-آنچه برای همه اديان الهی اهميت دارد خدا است. خداوند به همه ما توفيق دهد که او را در کانون توجه خود قرار دهیم. اگر اينگونه باشد همه پیامبران برای ما یک و عزیز خواهند شد.
دلتنگ می شوم از اینکه می بینم هرگاه درباره دمسیحیت ، اسلام و یهودیت بحث می شود بیشتر پیروان این ادیان موضع می گیرند و از مشترکاتی که بین اسلام ، مسیحیت و یهودیت وجود دارد حرفی نمی زنند و تنها اختلاف ها بیان می شود.
با آرزوی رستگاری برای همه مردم جهان و سپاس از شما برای پرداختن به این موضوع مهم و ارزشمند

Jesus–means Jehovah is Salvation

دوست عزیز بنا به توصیه شما به بلاگ دوستتان سر زدم و در آنجا هم مطالب ایشان را خواندم و هم پاسخ شما را و همچنین جواب ایشانرا به کامنت شما.کاملا با شما و نظرتان موافقم منتهی بنظر من یک نکته از سوی هردوطرف مورد غفلت واقع شده و آنهم عدم پذیرش 100% منبع و مرجع هر دو طرف می باشد. لذا بنظر بنده هیچکدام از دو طرف بحث قادر به مجاب کردن دیگری نیستند.

Hadenough is right, the name Jesus was not an uncommon name back then. Even today, in Latin American countries, there are many named Jesus, and Angel too:). I went over to Amy’s and read the translation. It is interesting. That is not to say I agree with it all, but it is interesting:). I don’t know which Ali translated it, but thank you very much Ali:). There were many people in those days named Jesus just as some others here have stated. But in my research I think I have found that the man who was called the son of Yahweh was named Yahshua, not Jesus. Yahweh meant basically The One Who Creates…and Yahshua meant Son of Yahweh. Anyway I do not use the name God anymore when refering to the Divine Creator. nor of Jesus. If I call any name holy I call them Yahweh and Yahshua.

Yahshu is Jesus in English as we use the word Jehovah here instead of Yahweh. We know they are the same just areas changes pronunciation. John in Mexico would be Juan.
Just to let some know sometimes here (in America–for some reason ) we “bicker” over what name should be used. But my persona; feeling for here is we don’t used the Hebrew or Greek pronunciation for all the other names so it is OK to use the English for The Father and Jesus too.
Mine name would be different too. Maybe some have heard this about us–we (our Leaders and teachers ) often write and speak about this–how we say the name of God and the Son. What do you think I wonder? Does it matter ?? should all names be used as they were called in that language?
